Meet Illinois Attorney Dawn Duggan

Illinois Attorney Dawn DugganDawn E. Duggan joined the Ginzkey Law Office in January, 2017. Ms. Duggan is excited to bring her litigation experience to the Ginzkey Law Office in order to assist people who have been injured due to the negligent, reckless or wrongful acts of others.

Ms. Duggan was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois, and is a proud graduate of Bloomington High School. After graduation, Dawn relocated to Florida, raising a family while working on her degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences. She worked as a legal assistant for several years before pursuing her dream of attending law school. Dawn graduated from Stetson University-College of Law in 2003, and immediately began working as an assistant public defender in Sarasota, Florida.

As an assistant public defender, Dawn worked diligently and tirelessly on behalf of clients charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanors to the most serious felony offenses. Whether researching, preparing and arguing motions, deposing witnesses, attending hearings, or negotiating a reasonable plea agreement, Dawn’s main focus has always been on her client’s best interest. Ms. Duggan also has extensive trial experience, having represented clients in both jury and non-jury trials. When negotiations failed to result in a favorable agreement, Dawn Duggan was prepared to go to trial to zealously defend her client. After returning to Bloomington in 2015, Dawn continued to help those in need of legal assistance by working with Prairie State Legal Services.

Representing Injured Clients

Dawn believes the skills and experience she acquired while defending disadvantaged people in the criminal justice system will transition well to help injured clients who find themselves similarly disadvantaged in dealing with large insurance companies. If negotiations fail to result in an acceptable settlement for her clients, Dawn Duggan will use her extensive trial experience to zealously represent her clients at trial.
